Coffee Morning at Plumley Village Hall

There is a coffee morning at Plumley Village Hall on Sunday 2nd April from 11-2pm to raise money for ‘Autism Awareness Week’. There will be tea, coffee and juice for children (provided by Plumley Village Stores), lots of delicious cakes, face painting, children’s nail painting and playgroup toys out to play with.

Maths Evening Workshop

We are looking forward to this event on Tuesday at 6pm- please join us.

This year FLPS have kindly agreed to support the ‘Primary Maths Reasoning Project’ which will directly benefit all children in school.  I have arranged for Toni Reid, maths consultant, to introduce this project to parents and demonstrate strategies used. The event will be in school on Tuesday 14th March (from 6-7.30 pm).  Please log on to https://lowerpeover.parentseveningsystem.co.uk to book your place. This event will be paid for by the school fund. This workshop is suitable for parents of ALL age groups.

To date, 40 parents have registered their interest. Teaching staff will also be attending the evening.

Red Nose Day- Friday 24th March 2017

To support this day, we have decided to hold a competition (one prize per year group) and have a bake sale during the afternoon, if anyone would like to donate cakes, please let me know. Thank you. The competition is for the children to dress up as their favourite nose. http://www.rednoseday.com/schools/primary

Miss Dawson

I am pleased to inform you that Miss Dawson will be returning to school on Monday 13th March. Thank you to all the teaching assistants and teachers who have covered her absence.

Staff Absence

Mrs. Julie Howarth is recovering well, after her surgery, and hopes to return to school after Easter.  Mr. Pugh is also recovering from his illness and hopes to be back in school, very soon.  Thank you to all my staff who have helped during staff shortages. It is interesting to see staff dashing for the hoover, at the end of the day, to see who can get them first!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
