World Book Day – Book Fair
Fri 3rd March 2 – 4p.m.
The Travelling Book Company is in school after half term. This is an opportunity for you and your child to buy books but the school benefits as all commission will be used to buy new books for the school.
Children will be visiting the fair during the week with their class teacher. They can bring money into school to spend (in a named envelope please) or complete a wish list to take home for parents to see – there is, of course, no obligation to buy any of the books listed!
Parents and friends are invited to visit the book fair on Friday 3rd March from 2pm.
Children can be collected from their classroom and then taken straight home.
Each child will be given a £1 Book Token that can be redeemed at the Book Fair.
Please note – all orders and payments must be received before noon on Monday 6th March.

NSPCC Event for Parents- Thursday 23rd March, 2pm
To children, online life is real life. There is no real difference between the people they speak to on social media and their friends in school. Families often think they know exactly what their children get up to online, and that they understand all the apps and sites their children use. Please book your place on https://lowerpeover.parentseveningsystem.co.uk
To date, 19 parents have registered their interest.
Maths Evening Workshop for parents/carers….
This year FLPS have kindly agreed to support the ‘Primary Maths Reasoning Project’ which will directly benefit all children in school. I have arranged for Toni Reid, maths consultant, to introduce this project to parents and demonstrate strategies used. The event will be in school on Tuesday 14th March (from 6-7.30 pm). Please log on to https://lowerpeover.parentseveningsystem.co.uk to book your place. This event will be paid for by the school fund. This workshop is suitable for parents of ALL age groups.
To date, 36 parents have registered their interest.
I hope you all have a lovely half term. School re-opens on Monday 27th February at 8,40 am. During the first week back, I am working in other schools on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but Mr. Haslam will be in school. I can still be contacted via email.
