School Pupil Tracker
Your child will come home with a username and password to enable you to access some of your child’s information online. This includes past reports and current targets. There are targets set for reading; writing and mathematics, the amount of these will depend on which KS your child is in.
Mental Health First Aid Training
To let you know that our school has completed Mental Health First Aid training and the ‘Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Programme: Emotionally Healthy Schools’. Alongside this we can access support from many partners such as school nurse, Child and Adult Mental Health Services, Family Support Worker, Autism Team and Educational Psychologist. Our SEN web page also details how we support children in the areas of learning, communication and interaction, physical and sensory and social and emotional. Please contact Mrs. Dean, teachers and SENCO if you have any concerns.

Christingle Service Wednesday 25th January 2pm (R, Y1, Y2) and 6pm (Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6)
This is a very popular event in the school calendar. We ask the children to make a donation for the Church of England’s Society. If you wish to donate, please send in your donation in an envelope. In return, the children will receive a lighted candle during the service. The children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 need not return to school for the evening service. If they do return children need to sit with their class teacher.
Please ensure the children wear winter school uniform, a shirt with a tie and without a sweatshirt. If necessary, they should wear something warm under their blouse/shirt. School will be open from 5.45pm when class teachers will be available to supervise the children.
Maths Evening Workshop for parents/carers….
This year FLPS have kindly agreed to support the ‘Primary Maths Reasoning Project’ which will directly benefit all children in school. I have arranged for Toni Reid, maths consultant, to introduce this project to parents and demonstrate strategies used. The event will be in school on Tuesday 14th March (from 6-7.30 pm). Please log on to https://lowerpeover.parentseveningsystem.co.uk to book your place. This event will be paid for by the school fund. This workshop is suitable for parents of ALL age groups. Thank you to the parents who have already booked a place.
Bag 2 School. The date has eventually arrived!! Bag 2 school – Wednesday 25th January 9am
Please bring your bags to school, anytime from Monday 23rd January. We will store them, in school, until collection on Wednesday.
Bag 2 School is a company that specialises in good quality second hand clothing that can be re-used. They collect adult and children’s clothing, paired shoes, hats, belts, handbags, ties and soft toys. I have sent home a bag for you to collect items in, alternatively you can use any black bin liner.
Children in Need
I have received a letter from ‘Children in Need’ which says ‘thank you so much for your Spotacular donation of £117. The certificate is on display, in the school entrance.
Christmas Fair – A Big THANK YOU!
FLPS would like to extend a massive THANK YOU to everyone who attended and supported the Christmas Fair on the 2nd Dec. It was a wonderful event which has raised a massive £3,900 for our school, of which £1,250 was raised via Fund Matching (many thanks to Barclays and Terri Smith and United Utilities and Janet Bromley). Special thanks to Kristin Williamson and the Elves for organizing a superb Christmas Fair.
May Fair 2017
On the Saturday 20th May we will be crowning the 2017 Lower Peover May Queens. This historically takes place during the school May Fair. FLPS are looking for a willing leader to organise and run this event on the day as well as a team of volunteers who can assist throughout the process to make this beautiful day take place. If you are interested in leading the team or simply being a part of it, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further details. The FLPS committee will be there to support & assist the team throughout.
The next FLPS monthly meeting will take place on Monday the 13th of February at 7:30 pm in The Bells.
