A message from Martin Hughes- Governor

If you weren’t in the Christmas spirit on entering the church on Tuesday afternoon, then you surely must have been on leaving! What a wonderful production! The children’s performances were truly a joy to behold. With acting and singing skills of the highest order, the enjoyment on the children’s faces was enough to brighten the spirit of Scrooge himself.

Governors would like to congratulate the school and the children for all their hard work and passion and may we also wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Holiday dates- information

I agree with everyone that this has been an extremely long half term. Holiday dates are set by Cheshire West and Chester, not by the school.  The only flexibility we have is to add the teachers INSET days where we wish. These are usually the first day in September, the first day in January (as we work with the Holmes Chapel Cluster that day), Cheshire Show day and when the school is used as a polling station.

Bag 2 school – Wednesday 25th January 9am

Bag 2 School is a company that specialises in good quality second hand clothing that can be re-used. They collect adult and children’s clothing, paired shoes, hats, belts, handbags, ties and soft toys.  I have sent home a bag for you to collect items in, alternatively you can use any black bin liner.  We are happy to store these in school from Monday 23rd January- thank you!

School re-opens to children on Tuesday 10th January 2017.

I hope you all enjoy the festive season,

Sharon Dean
