Weekly Newsletter – 16th December 2016

Posted by: Office Team on December 16, 2016 at 10:48 am

This is my final newsletter for this term. Thank you to all the Lower Peover staff for their commitment during this half term. The Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 productions were wonderful, as usual. Thank you for joining us at this special time of year. Please join us for the KS2 productions, in church, on Tuesday 20th & Wednesday 21st December at 2pm.

Swimming Gala

On Wednesday, at the swimming gala, which was held at Sandbach Boys School, the children of Lower Peover performed extremely well. Not only did they win a haul of medals (3 gold and 2 bronze), they came third overall. During the course of this exciting event, they were a credit to their parents and the school, as they displayed great manners and sportsmanship. Well done to all those that were involved, and a big thank you to the parents for ferrying the children back and forth.

Key Stage 2 Christmas Disco

The annual KS2 Christmas Disco is on Monday 19th December, straight after school. Please remember to pay on ‘parent pay’ for the food and send party clothes into school.  School fund pays for the disco.  Mrs. Howard and I have purchased the drinks, burgers, sausages and choc- ices. Thank you to Robert’s Bakery for donating the buns.

Key Stage 1 Christmas Party

This is on Thursday 22nd December during the afternoon. The Rec and Key Stage 1 children can wear their party clothes all day. The children will be provided with an iced lolly following the show.

A message from the Information, Advice and Support service

The Information Advice and Support Service have produced a fact sheet for parents and carers about the Local Area Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Inspection. It is important for parents and carers to know about the inspection as Ofsted and CQC will want to hear from families about what differences the reforms have made to their lives.  The fact sheet gives details about the inspection process and how they can become involved. Please click here for the link on the Local Offer to the fact sheet.

Additionally, here are some links to films about Local Area SEND inspections that may be helpful when raising awareness of the inspection to children and young people:
