Please see the note from the engineer in charge of the work on The Cobbles:
I can confirm that we are carrying out the work that would be the most problematic for access during the school autumn break.
There are other sections within the scope of the work that will be carried out the following week and we have agreed with the sub-contractor that we would like to carry out the repair works during that time on restricted hours to avoid the congestion of the school drop off and pick up times. And we will always try and provide access for most of the time.

We will have Traffic Marshalls onsite to manage access for the duration of the works.

We apologise for the inconvenience, but these works are necessary, the amount of larger vehicles using the lane are causing the cobbles to sink in a variety of areas.
As the site is quite restricted, we are trying to repair the damaged areas and minimise the disruption as best we can to residents and businesses alike.
To minimise the disruption to parents, the first week after half term (7th November to 11th November) we will open the school doors at 8.30 am.

  • Friday 18th November in exchange for tombola items.
  • Friday 25th November in exchange for unwanted gifts.

We are happy to receive any shoe boxes for this appeal, whenever they are available. The children love to see the wall of shoe boxes grow. Thank you to those of you who have already sent one in.

Year 6 will be holding a Bake Sale on Friday 11th November. This will raise money for our School Charity, which this year is Cancer Research.

The Governing Body has a duty to ensure attendance is at least in line with national average statistics. During the first few weeks, after the half term break, Governors will be monitoring attendance and punctuality.
Have a lovely half term, thank you for your continuing support.

A reminder that school closes on Friday 28th at 3.15pm for half term and re- opens on Monday 7th November.
