CROSS COUNTRY

There was a tremendous turn out by the Year 3 and Year 4 children this week. Mr. Ferguson was very proud of your efforts and achievements – well done!

BEHAVIOUR AND DOJOS

It has been lovely this week to hear the children talking about DOJOS and the Christian values they are receiving the DOJO points for. On Friday 7th October, the first class Dojo champions will be rewarded with a certificate, in church.

YEAR 5 PILGRIM DAY- TUESDAY 11TH OCTOBER

Each year the Year 5 children attend Chester Cathedral with other church schools. It is an exciting day where they enjoy a variety of activities such as being a monk, calligraphy, hand bells and drama to name a few. To avoid congestion on ‘The Cobbles’ the children are dropped off at ‘The Crown’ who kindly let us use their facilities.

UNIFORM

We are very proud of the uniform at Lower Peover. The vast majority of children adhere to wearing the correct items. However, recently, there are quite a few children who are wearing items which are not part of our uniform policy- especially during PE. Please click on the link to check what we expect children to wear.

PARENTS EVENING CONSULTATION

We have arranged two dates for parent’s evenings (Thursday 13th October and Tuesday 18th October). Teachers will only be available on these days from 3.30pm. Please click on the following link to choose your appointment slot. Some parents/carers have not yet requested an appointment.

HOMEWORK CONSULTATION

Mrs. Perry is reviewing our approach to homework. She would like to invite parents/ carers to a consultation meeting on Thursday 13th October at 2pm. Please join us.

BOOKS TAKEN HOME

We have had quite a few home reader books returned to school, which unfortunately have not been in a good enough condition to be used by anyone else. We love children to read and encourage this with your support. Please encourage your children to take care of them. Thank you.

OPEN DAY

This has been arranged for Wednesday 26th October from 9.30-11.30 or 1.30 -3pm. If you know anyone who is interested in joining Lower Peover Primary School in September 2017 (or before), I would be grateful if you pass on this information.

NSPCC

The children have now brought home their sponsorship forms for the NSPCC. The Year 5 and 6 children had a second workshop on Thursday, which was very informative. A reminder that the NSPCC representative will return to school on 21st October to issue badges and to collect any sponsorship money.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

We are happy to receive any shoe boxes for this appeal, whenever they are available. The children love to see the wall of shoe boxes grow.

DATES

Please refer to the website for all events/ dates for the diary etc., as it is updated regularly.
