Admissions to Reception
The first round of offers has been sent out for Reception places in 2016. It is essential that you accept or decline the offers immediately, as the closing date for acceptance has passed.
We have been monitored by the Local Authority today, checking on the storage of SATS and paperwork relating to children who have access to additional time. I am pleased to announce that we were fully compliant.
Moderation of EYFS Judgements
Miss Dawson, Mr Ferguson and Miss Robson spent the morning with the Local Authority EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) consultant moderating judgments in the EYFS. The LA were very impressed with the standard of preparation and the evidence provided. Thank you to the teachers for their hard work.
The children love to play football when the weather is sunny. The children can only use up to a size 4 football which isn’t pumped up too much. Thank you.
A reminder that the children now have their swimming lessons on Thursdays.
Deputy Head Teacher
The Governors met this week and have shortlisted 4 candidates. Rev Lloyd and myself will be visiting the candidates, in their own school, the week beginning Monday 16th May.
May Queen Fete
The May Queen Fete is approaching quickly and the children have all been learning their dances. We hope you can all join us at 3pm on Saturday 14th May.
Best wishes for a lovely weekend. I am off to Badminton horse trials!
