Thank you for all the returned smarties tubes.  A total of £476.21 has been raised.  The winning team is RED, a non-uniform day will be arranged in due course.

Delemere Residential – Year 2

The children had a wonderful time at Delamere despite the weather! Thank you to Miss Massey, Mrs Burchell, Mrs Howard and Mrs Cunliffe for taking them.  The children had a wonderful time den building, building a campfire (supervised by Mr. Plaskett), pond dipping and walking through the streams in Delamere Forest.

Change of date – Non Uniform Day

A non-uniform day, in exchange for tombola items (wine, chocolate etc) has been changed from Friday 6th May to Friday 13th May. Please send in any items during that week.

Miss Hannah Massey

Miss Massey has decided to leave Lower Peover Primary School at the end of the summer term. I am sure you will join me in wishing her every success with her new venture.

Mr David Bradley

Mr Bradley will be joining the Lower Peover teaching team in September.  I am sure you will welcome him.  Some of you will remember Mr Bradley, as he was a student at Lower Peover 3 years ago.

Mr Martin Lewis

I am pleased to inform you that Mr Lewis, current Year 4 teacher, will be staying on the Lower Peover team in September, and now has a permanent contract. He is also excellent at mending any plumbing issues!

Deputy Head Appointment

This is now underway, with the closing date today. The process will now start with short listing, visiting schools, meeting the school council and formal interview. Once the appointment has been ratified by the Governing Body, I will inform you who has been successful.

Cars at the end of the school day

Please do not bring your car round the front of the school at the end of the day, as it is a health and safety concern. Thank you.

Arriving at school

A few parents have spoken to Mr Pugh about cars overtaking at the bottom of the Cobbles, when parents are trying to turn into school. Our PSCO has advised that you call the police (101) to report these incidents, then the police will come out to monitor it. Thank you.

Admissions to Reception

The first round of offers has been sent out for Reception places in 2016. It is essential that you accept or decline the offers asap, so we can allocate places to children on the waiting list.

Best wishes for a lovely bank holiday weekend.
