Christingle and The Children’s Society

Today your child will be coming home with a collection envelope for The Children’s Society. The Children’s Society are a charity working to support vulnerable children in England and Wales. We are collecting donations for the charity as part of the coming Christingle services. Please help your child to collect what they can for a worthy cause and complete the gift aid on the envelope to allow the charity to increase your donation by 25%.

The younger children have also been given a candle money box to make up to add to the fun. When handing this money to school, please transfer it into the envelope provided as part of the Christingle leaflet.
All monies need to be returned to the class teachers or placed in the FLPS post box (just inside the main school entrance) by Friday 29th January.

The Christingle services are taking place in St Oswalds church on Wednesday 27th January at 2pm(KS1) and 6pm (KS2).
The services are beautiful with each child carrying a decorated orange containing a candle.

FLPS will be providing a decorated orange for each child in the school – which they can keep to enjoy/eat at home.

Many thanks in advance for your support with this.

Best wishes,

FLPS
