A very warm welcome back to everyone. I hope that everyone had a good holiday and that we are all ready for a very busy and exciting half term!

Boccia Tournament

Two teams of Y3/4 children took part in a tournament at HCHS earlier this week and I am pleased to say that both teams made the final and one of our teams came 2nd and received medals for their efforts.

Congratulations to all those who took part and for representing our school so well.

Children In Need Day Friday 13th November

To show support for Children In Need children are welcome to ‘put on their ears’ for the day (e.g. Pudsey ears or other ‘fun’ ears but not masks). Any donations made will be given to Children In Need.

Team Success

Each week during Monday during Collective Worship the team leaders from Year 6 announce which team has collected the most team points during the previous week. At the end of the half term the team with the most points is identified and that team has a non-uniform day.

Last half term’s winners were Yellow and so all children from all classes in the yellow team (with the exception of Reception who have not yet been allocated to a team) can come in non-uniform on Thursday 12th November

We do try to get the children outside as much as possible at playtimes, even if it is raining slightly. I would be grateful therefore if all children could come to school with a coat as the weather starts to deteriorate.

Christmas Fair/Non-Uniform Days

Our hardworking FLPS team is now planning the Christmas Fair, to be held on Friday 4th December. Further details about this will be circulated by FLPS nearer the time but we will be holding two non-uniform days to collect things.

  • Friday 20th November – Tombola Prizes
  • Friday 4th December – unwanted gifts for the family gift wrapping room

All children are welcome to be in non-uniform for these days and donations would be gratefully received.
