Many thanks for all your generosity towards our fund raising for refugees this week. At the last count we had collected an impressive amount of over £350. Sally Bown was really pleased and as soon as the supplies are dispatched we will let you know how the money was used.
Our thanks also go to FLPS, both those directly involved and those who have supported their events. This week they have provided a new digital camera for each class and also given school £7000 !!!!! This is going to be spent on some Art Resources and on replacing the old whiteboards in classrooms with state of the art touch screens. Miss Dawson and Mr Ferguson are researching and costing these and we hope to begin installation in at least 3 classes as soon as possible.
We do encourage the children to drink regularly throughout the day and to this end we encourage them to bring a water bottle to keep with them in their classrooms. These should be plastic and have a sports top to avoid spillages. School water bottles are available to buy (£3.50). The content of these should be water, although obviously children on packed lunches can have their choice with lunch.
This continues to be an issue for us and I’m sure many of you have seen the BT vans camped at school. One of the problems is that our phones keep cutting out but we have the facility now to reroute call to a mobile so you will still be able to contact us on the school number.
